Juan Carlos is a Partner of the Firm and Head of the Employment Area, which he joined in 2003.
He advises clients regarding any labor issues and he is especially notorious for his intervention and participation in collective bargaining processes, substantial changes to working conditions and downsizing and redundancy plans. At this point, it is worth noting his experience in counseling not only private law firms, but also public bodies.
He has extensive experience in the execution of senior management employment agreements, and in particular, all those controversial issues that may arise when the senior executive, is also a member of the Governing Body. In this regard, he has represented companies and senior executives in both the preliminary design of the contract and the litigation stage.
He advises our clients from an employment point of view on the sale and purchase of businesses and input units, being part of numerous Labor Legal Due Diligence procedures for companies in various sectors.
He also has experience in dealing with dismissals, retribution systems, internal company regulations.
Specifically, he has extensive experience in labor restructuring business operations: downsizing and redundancy plans, individual objective dismissals, mergers, outsourcing, subcontracting and succession of contracts.
Since he joined the firm, he has advised national and international companies with regards to their labor relationships and social security obligations on an ongoing basis, representing their interests, both before labor and administrative Courts.
